CAVIAR MANICURE
First Impressions
I am so excited to try this new effect! I got the caviar kit so everything I need is in 1 little box (except a base and top coat). Inside is a lush dark green nail polish called 'Superficial' coupled with the caviar beads themselves - inside a matching bottle. It also comes with instructions in 16 different languages, a little funnel so I can recollect the beads AND the lid doubles up as a tray to contain the beads!
See my tutorial (tutorial) if you want to do this yourself, this part is just a review of my thought on how well it applied.
I was a bit nervous of wasting the beads at first but then I remembered the funnel and went crazy! I love the feeling and the sounds of the beads falling off my finger and into the tray, it's so relaxing <:)
Refilling the bottle was easy-as-pie thanks to the funnel.
Looks and Durability
Personally, I think the beads look like little jewels on my fingernails, it's really pretty. I am defiantly pleased with the result! Surprisingly, these little beads are really stuck to my nails - like super-glue. I thought they wouldn't last that long but I was wrong, they will last almost as long as any other polish. Well, mine could have lasted longer but I couldn't help but pick them off one by one - so tempting!
When I made up the 'star system' I never planned to have decimals because it would be to specific, BUT, the price of this manicure set is ridiculously expensive (£18!) and you can get much cheaper bottles from other brands such as models own (£4). The manicure its self is defiantly 5 stars because I love the way the beads look on your fingers, and how they reflect the light - not to mention how easy it was to do! The cost is the only reason this hasn't got 5 stars, Ciate has overpriced this way too much and I wouldn't buy it in the shop if I saw how much it is!
