Magnetic Nail Polish Tutorial

This tutorial continues from the Magnetic Nail Polish Reviews (link --> Magnetic Nail Polish Review)

Equipment
  • Base Coat
  • Magnetic Nail Polish (with magnet)
  • Top Coat

Step 1 - Start with a nice clean nails, apply a base coat and 1 coat of a magnetic nail polish.

Step 2 - This is very tricky so read all of this step before you start! Remove the magnet from the bottle (if possible). Apply a thickish second coat to ONE NAIL and then VERY QUICKLY place the lip of the magnet on the base of your nail (on the skin).

Step 3 - Each brand needs the magnet for different times, so try to find the time on your bottle, but generally I would hold it for 8-10 seconds. Gently pivot the magnet so it reaches the sides of your nails.

Step 4 - Repeat steps 2 + 3 for EACH nail.

Step 5 - Let the nail polish dry and add a top coat!

Quick Review

17 - 5/5 stars
Wow! 17 is so good! For only £5.99 you get a good quality polish with a magnet. The actual magnet is detachable and the lid looks ok with out it. Defiantly the best magnetic nail polish I have seen for a long time, very impressed! :D

MUA - 2/5 stars
MUA...it was worth a shot...it doesn't matter too much as it was cheapish (£3.50). It is a bit of a gamble with MUA polish as you can never tell just how good it will be, I've had surprising results (crackle finish - best I have seen even beating Rimmel and Barry M!) but this magnetic one was a bit of a let down. The magnet doesn't detach making it very hard to use without the polish dripping down into the lid, which drys and fuses lid and bottle together >:|. Also the end effect isn't that good...
